I recently became unemployed. After many phone calls with different people and a downtown visit with the insurance company of my former employer, I learned I could continue my coverage. The monthly cost for COBRA would cost 2/3rds of my unemployment benefits. More than halfway through the month, I found out that the insurance company did not like the pre-typed dates in the forms I returned at which time they informed me that my family was not covered until next month. This could not happen.
In passing, I mentioned my dilemma to Todd. He instantly offered help, although he had to leave for an out-of-town Christmas trip that afternoon. Carefully explaining different options, he was more interested in solving my problem then pushing a product. He wanted to make sure I understood the options, benefits, costs, and the quality of each method. He helped me chose a plan that was right for my family. As busy as he was that day, he walked me through the application and payment process. We received confirmation that we would be covered January 1st.
I appreciate the personal attention received from Todd. I know if I have a question, I have an advocate to help with advice. You can’t get that from the “Blues."
